Shock Tune

FOX Shock Tune ID's:

Note, you can obtain your Fox rear shock's tune using the Tune ID located on the air can (body) of your shock (or for a fork, using the serial number). Enter the Tune ID in the Fox Bike Help Center for specific information regarding your shock.

ROCKSHOX Shock Tune:

RockShox does not print the Tune ID on the air can like Fox. However, if you need help with your suspension set up, check out the Rock Shox Suspension Set Up and Tuning Guide for further information.

MARZOCCHI Shock Tune:

Marzocchi, like Fox, prints a 4-digit Tune ID  on the shock body. Enter the Tune ID in the Fox Bike Help Center for specific information regarding your shock. Refer to the Bomber CR Tuning Guide for more information specific to this shock.

Setting Up Your Suspension

Setting up the suspension on your new bike shouldn't be daunting, but be prepared to take a little time to try out different settings. The 2022 Altitude Powerplay runs happily at approximately 30% sag. Depending on which model you own, you may have a Fox, Marzocchi, or Rock Shox rear shock, and it could be an Air or Coil shock. Please refer to the suspension set up guides above for manufacturer recommendations on setting up your rear shock.

Remember, your rear suspension takes a little time to fine tune depending on your riding style, riding preferences, and the terrain you are riding on. We always recommend playing around with it until you find that perfect feel for your favorite home trail.
